One of two luxury holiday cottages that combine to form the attractive building in the picture opposite..

The cottages are set in an acre of land on the edge of the village, each with its own private patio / BBQ area and access to the old orchard which is just perfect for lazing about in the shade if the weather gets too hot.

Sleeping Capacity

Orchard Cottage sleeps 5 adults in 2 large bedrooms with the option to sleep 2 more adults on a comfy sofa bed in the lounge.

Most of these sleeping arrangements can be configured as single or double beds to suit the needs of your party (please contact us with your requirements). A cot is also available by request.

Property Features

Downstairs, "Orchard Cottage" has a large fully equipped family kitchen with an 8 seater dining table. The comfortable lounge has a scandanavian wood-burning stove and gives access to the patio. A useful extra downstairs toilet is located off the hallway.

Upstairs, the 2 large bedrooms are served by a spacious family-size toilet / shower room.

Outside is a large private patio area with table and seating. This gives access to the garden, orchard, BBQ area and well-stocked log store.

Guests may make use of the laundry, office safe and internet access by arrangement. An extensive library of CDs, DVDs, Videos and Paperbacks is also available for guests to use.

Your peace-of-mind is important to us and both cottages are fitted with quality security locks and smoke detectors with fire blankets in the kitchens.

Local Amenities The cottages are located on the edge of the typical Czech farming village of Krida ("Shreeda"), near the bustling town of Tabor. This is in a peaceful rural setting, with nearby village pond, chapel and old fire station community centre.

There is a regular bus service past the door and the next village, a mere 2km away, has a general store and pub. Excellent shopping facilities are also to be found in Tabor (including a 24 hour Tesco superstore).

Parking is available on the driveway if required.
Places to Visit

South Bohemia is the jewel of the Czech Republic. Its landscape consists of stunning forests, rivers and lakes, picturesque towns and villages, many with fairytale historical castles.

Prague, Vienna and both the Austrian and German borders are within easy travelling distance. The whole area is well signposted with marked paths for walking, riding and cycling. (Guests have free use of pedal cycles with safety helmets and horseriding can be arranged locally).

The English owner who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all things Czech, lives just next door and is always on hand if required. His comfy, air-conditioned, 8-seater minibus is available for airport transfers, guided tours throughout South Behemia, shopping trips and day trips to both Prague and Vienna (please see our website www.bohemiabreaks.cz for full details and prices).

Living costs in the Czech Republic are generally well below those of the UK and can make for a VERY relaxing holiday.

In Aug 06, Tesco in Tabor was doing decent wine at £1.50 a bottle and good Czech beer at 13p a bottle!!!
