Our story: We have just changed from our T-Mobile contract that was £20 a month for 30 free minutes and no texts to a 3-mobile contract - £20 a month with 500 free minutes and 100 free texts. We also have a new Nokia 6288 for free - that is what I call a good deal and keeping our existing mobile number was simple.
 
 
 Keeping Your Existing Number - is easy. Simply ask your current provider for a PAC (Port Authorisation Code). Ours was texted to us (and confirmed in writing) and it was good for 30 days. They asked no questions. Then on line we gave our PAC to 3 mobile and they changed it over within 5 days. Up until change - calls came in on our existing handset and we knew the changeover was complete when calls suddenly arrived on the Nokia 6288 handset. It really was that simple for us.
 
Nigel's story, our next door neighbour Nigel was paying £35 a month and his son was on pay as you go. Nigel now pays £20 a month for more minutes and texts than his previous provider and his son now has a £15 a month texter contract that is ideal for the youngster.
